Your "341" Meeting of Creditors

  • The next step in your case is to complete the Chapter 7 Meeting of Creditors via a Zoom video call. It's commonly called a "341 Meeting" because the rules and protocols of the meeting are governed by section 341 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. The name "meeting of creditors" is a bit of a misnomer since creditors do not typically appear at these meetings. Instead, the only person you'll be communicating with will be the Trustee.

  • This page is designed to familiarize you with the process and get you comfortable and ready for your meeting.

  • Below are 2 videos for you to watch and an interview to complete. After that's done, your attorney will give you a call (typically the business day before your scheduled meeting) to review the main points, answer any remaining questions you have, and make sure you're prepared and comfortable.

  • Just follow the instructions below and click on the "SUBMIT" button at the bottom of the page when you're all done.

Step 1: Watch these 2 videos...

Step 2: Complete the Interview

  • Below is a list of questions the Trustee will ask you during the meeting.

  • This list may not include 100% of the questions that will be asked, but these questions will be asked at 100% of the meetings.

  • Please work your way through this list of questions, enter your answers, and click submit at the end to submit the form.

  • If you're not sure about how to answer any of the questions, simply select the "Not Sure" option.

  • You can also add any questions or concerns at the end of the list before you click/tap the "Submit" button.

  • Your attorney will review your submission and follow up with you promptly if there are any issues, questions, or concerns.

  • If there are no issues in your submission and you don't have any urgent questions, your attorney will meet with you via phone or Zoom call the business day before your meeting for a quick recap before the meeting.
